If you loose or misplace it, the light will be obsolete. I have not hooked it hp to music .. The wave pattern is nice . I suggest mire than ine for a large house like mine. As you can see, I have it pointing towards one structure and its not very bright but it covered the side. It definitely does the job if you want some cool lights for a party.. Helaina.
