The assembled item looks good and is sturdy. The directions missed a couple of steps that added extra time. My main complaint is the use of self drilling sheet metal screws in areas that connect plastic to plastic, and should use a wide thread screw. The screws provided don’t tighten well in those areas.. Easy to put together by myself. Took me about 35 minutes. Some of the metal to metal holes didn’t line up but all the other holes were pretty close enough to use the sharp screws. Haven’t bolted them to the porch floor yet so cannot review how well these stand up to high winds. Had a very strong urea smell so glad these are outside and not inside. The top canvas fits very snug and I wish it had a little more slack to make covering the frame easier on the hands. It does cover the frame well and I can do it by myself with a ladder. The item arrived on time. During installation, we noticed a small dent at the bottom, but when I contacted Wayfair’s customer service, the representative offered 20 credit instead of requiring a return—absolutely amazing service. The unit came 99 pre-assembled all we needed to do was install the 2 foot brackets with two screws and follow the instructions to complete the pergola setup. We’re very impressed with both the quality and the functionality—being able to adjust the louvers separately at the top and bottom, with a full 180° open and close, is a fantastic feature. I got this for installing a dart board for our patio. It is a perfect backdrop for the dart board! Love the look and quality is great. Definitely need 2 people to assemble as one needs to hold while other makes sure board is in while installing the screws at the bottom and top.
