We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. Nice quality kennel although I used mine for my Junior chickens to give them a bigger run. The base was easy to assemble. Attaching the mesh wire is definitely a two person job and I highly recommend using leather gloves as there are lots of sharp edges on the mesh for you to get cut. Excellent duck coop. Easy to set up with my grand childrens assistance. I added more layers of poultry wire and hardware cloth to the sides and top make break-ins more difficult. Also hardware cloth used as ground floor and apron covered with sod and then pine shavings. Placed the heavy duty XL anti-diggers around the perimeter. We have not had any intrusions in this set-up..
