This fan is ornate and decorative. My husband thinks it’s pretty and he chose the style. I prefer a little simpler style but in a marriage you compromise since he is the installer! lol the fan blade is wood and we chose to put this under our covered patio. Texas heat is brutal so I don’t expect the fan to actually Cool is but more to deter the mosquitos when we step outside in the evening. However with its 6 speeds, it does move a good amount of airflow. Installation directions shows directions for four fans, and it’s simple enough. I do like the fan blades style.
