I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to build. You do need a screwdriver for the door handles which is a little silly considering the rest of the pieces just click together. It is STURDY, I misaligned the one door and it took some serious muscle to get it apart. Given that the item is for cats who are notorious for chaos, I think that’s a good thing. The doors on the front are nice and secure, no swinging open and the side flaps for the litter box access are easy to use. My cat was swatting them before I had even finished the build. Very sturdy enclosed litter box. It has survived 3 moves across the country and is still in very good condition. Our cats love it. The one thing I will say about the glass is it can be a bit awkward making direct eye contact with your cat while they’re doing their business, but over the years the clay dust has kind of “frosted” the glass..
