I ordered the pole with this lantern and I love it. It does not come with a bulb. I suggest using an aquarium type long skinny bulb. It looks great. Again make sure your pole has the mounting kit as I had to pay my electrician to come back after I had to order the kit. The lamp is very nice looking, but there are a few problems with it. Many of the glass panels had chips along the edges, but they are concealed by the frame once they were put in. The mounting screws for the top to attach to the bottom are extremely small and easy to drop! Once assembled and installed, the top wobbles somewhat when touched by hand.
