This chair is very comfortable and a delight. Assembly really requires prior experience with schematics and understanding basic aspects of hardware. However, as the pics show, the upper/seat section is out of alignment with the lower/base portion; it's pushed to one side. That results in the upper frame knocking against the rear black glide "dog bone" part. I don't understand what would cause this skewing. I kept all fasteners not-tight until everything was assembled. These are decent chairs. Ive had them a few weeks, now. One was very easy to put together, but the other was not. As other reviews have noted, holes arent always exactly lined up, which is a pain. But I did get both put together by myself. The easy one took only took about 15 minutes, including unpacking. A few weeks in and I have had to tighten some screws, and one of the chairs squeeks, but I cant figure out from what. And one of the screws wont tighten at all (but thats not where the squeek is). These chairs are amazing!!!! They're fairly easy to assemble, quite comfortable, and absolutely beautiful on the porch. They are very classy in style, and everyone that sees them ALWAYS comment how nice they are... It's quite possible, at a future time, I might be purchasing another set to use for my guests. This is a great little set. I can’t believe it was less than 300 for both chairs. They are the perfect size for a smaller porch. Recently got these two rocking chairs for the front porch, and I’m very pleased with them. They have a classic look that instantly made the porch feel more welcoming. The black finish looks great and seems durable. Assembly took a bit of time. The first one took about an hour, but the second only about 30 minutes once I knew what I was doing. It wasn’t difficult, just a bit time-consuming. The chairs are comfortable and have a smooth rocking motion. I did notice that the seat slats flex slightly when sitting down or rocking, but they still feel solid and secure, so it’s not a huge concern. Overall, I think these chairs offer an excellent combination of style, comfort, and value. If you’re willing to invest a little time in assembly, you’ll end up with a great-looking addition to your porch or patio.
