These patio chairs are true to the online photos. Pleasant putty gray color. They are definitely aluminum and are quite light, especially considering the tilt and swivel base. I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. These chairs are fantastic! They are extremely comfortable and one of our favorite features is how quickly they dry after rain. Most of the time they’re dry almost instantly, and if not, a quick wipe with a towel is all it takes. Cleanup is effortless, and they look great on our patio.
