The cushions are a little thin, so we added a memory foam mattress to the top of it and then use a sheet to cover it and keep it outside to really make it like an outdoor bed. We ordered this day bed and we love it. We have dogs that like to get on our sofa and this one is a much better option. It is lower to the ground so keep that in mind if you’re buying it instead of a sofa. I also noticed many people in the reviews saying that the pillows provided won’t fit in the covers. I opened the pillow stuffing folded it in half and put it in the pillow covers and they seem to work perfectly (see picture of small gray pillows). I do think that the daybed needs more pillows so I added some green ones for a pop-up color that matches the other patio decor. I really love this, it’s perfect for our needs. I would’ve given them a five star instead of four but I agree with other reviews that it is difficult because some of the fasteners don’t lineup with the pre-imbedded fasteners. Looks great but the ivory colored pillows are mini sized and the cushion is thin. Added some extra pillows for more comfort. Overall easy to put together but half of the bolts were in tight spaces so had to use the Allen wrench instead of a slow power drill.
