A baseboard cutout lets the bench sit closer to the wall for a fitted look. Full assembly is required and two to three people are recommended.

I decided to take a chance on this despite it having no previous reviews. Overall, I think it’s a very solid value. There wasn’t anything else I could find out there that has this type of built-in look. It isn’t solid wood, but for the price I don’t think you can expect that, and when put together it does feel very solid. Assembly is probably the biggest knock on this. I consider myself pretty handy, and it took me probably 10-12 hours of assembly to put it together. The biggest issue is that the pre-drilled holes for the drawers weren’t in the correct spot for the bracket, so I ended up having to make my own holes which resulted in a nerve-wracking experience during final assembly.. Sam. Marietta, GA. Thu Oct 01 2026

This should’ve been an easy 5 stars. The quality is great for the price. The color is perfect and exactly like the pictures on site. But the assembly was one of the worst experiences ever. I am experienced at assembling furniture and this took three hours and a lot of choice words. One screw took twenty minutes because the wrench they give you is awful and the screws are all underneath. But if you have the patience it is a nice piece once you get it all together.. Christine Laylon. Austin, TX. Fri Aug 07 2026

This Multi-functional Outdoor Metal + HDPE Garden Bench combines a sturdy seating surface with a built-in double-door little library book exchange box, perfect for patios, backyards and community garden spaces. Crafted with weather-resistant materials, it stands up to sun, rain and daily outdoor use without easy fading or rusting. It lets you sit back to enjoy garden views while swapping books with neighbors, turning any quiet corner into a warm shared rest spot.

This is great for our delivery driver snack station, but we have some concerns about the bench. We repurposed this little library as a snack and drink station for our delivery drivers. I run a home business and get deliveries almost daily, so I love having a way to say thank you! We keep snacks and bottled drinks in a tub of ice inside the box, with signs on the outside letting drivers know to help themselves. Assembly was straightforward and easy for my husband. I especially like the weather-resistant faux wood, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the inside of the library box is waterproof. After rereading the description, I didn’t see an explicit promise of a watertight interior. Ours stays under our covered patio, so I haven’t tested it in direct rain. However, I can see gaps where water could potentially enter, which would concern me if I were putting books inside and leaving it out in the open. The bench is smaller than it appears and sits lower than a typical adult bench. My biggest concern is the advertised 350-pound capacity. My husband weighs about 180 pounds, and I could see the middle bow downward when he sat on it. There isn’t a center support beneath the seat. I felt comfortable sitting on it at approximately 145 pounds, but seeing that flex made me question the advertised capacity. Overall, I love it for our covered snack station, but the bench support and potential for water getting into the box are worth considering depending on how you plan to use it.. Cindy. Florida.
