I can’t wait until I have it set up. It says for up to 10 chickens- however- I’m going to put max of 5 in there. The directions seem clear. It came with a big tool as well for set up. We are taking care of six refugee chickens who survived the Eaton Fire in Altadena California, on January 8th, for a family who found that their chickens miraculously survived, even though their home, their neighbors' homes, their block, and their neighborhood have been decimated, burned to the ground, and out of existence. We needed something quick and easy. This works well to protect the little miracle flock while they forage during the day. the coop does not appear to be sturdy enough to protect from predators without some modifications. The door worked before we put the chicken wire on, but with the chicken wire on, the latches won't latch, so we tie the door shut with some wire for now. We'll make some adjustments to make the door shut properly later. The chicken wire does not cover the top of the coop, or even all the way to the tarp in the front above the door. The tarp is also about 2" too short to be tied to the metal frame, so we tied it to the chicken wire for now. We plan to use something like a bungee cord to tie it to the frame without stressing the tarp to the point of ripping. One part of one of the door poles appears to be spray painted silver, so we have concerns that it will rust. It was pretty easy to assemble. My 64 year old husband took his time and put most of it together at a leisurely pace by himself in a few hours. I wandered on the scene a little later and helped a little, not that he needed it. The structure is light enough to move around the yard, which is what we wanted. One of us can drag it easily. Two of us can lift it very easily. It is not sturdy enough for feeders or waterers to be hung anywhere in this coop. This is a great chicken coop for my 7 chicks! It went together fairly easy, and overall it's pretty sturdy! I'll probably take a couple extra measures to really predator proof it, but it's perfect for backyard chickens. My only concern is that the black asphalt roof started separating peeling off of the lip of the roof. Might just be from the hot Arizona heat, though. I do like that it has multiple access doors and it has the slide out tray for cleaning. The chicks love jumping up on the roosting bars and the chicken swing is a nice touch! It was hard to find a long skinny run for the area I had to fill. This fit perfectly and was easy to assemble for two people. The chicken wire it comes with is very flimsy so be prepared to purchase additional hardware cloth to make this run predator-proof. I didn’t mind that because the price of this run was very reasonable. I wrapped the entire run in hardware cloth including underneath. Updated... The chicken wire supplied isnt enough to properly cover it and unfortunately wont keep predators out. Absolutely love this chicken run! It took several days for my husband to put together, but it seems to be pretty sturdy material.
