The instructions were a little difficult to follow, but with the few parts, you can figure it out quite easily. The metal frame with wood accent gives it a high end look. It is quite comfortable to sit on, even without a cushion. Not sure how the white will weather, but I think with a little care it should work well. Chairs arrived well protected in the boxes. The box said that all tools required were included to put these chairs together, however that was unnecessary because the chairs were FULLY ASSEMBLED! So far they have been used for a few days and are comfortable and seem sturdy. I also want to specify that I chose these chairs because the legs fold completely and the chair folds ( not completely in half but close to it) making them much easier to store for the winter..
