Came upon this when looking for DIY pole holders. Purchased the larger size and am very happy. Product came with clear instructions and was easy to put together. The pole insert seems sturdy as well, but I am thinking I will drill a hole on bottom so no water accumulates at bottom.. The piece looks nice and seems sturdy. I’ve tried other ways of anchoring outdoor string light and this is by far the best looking. They recommend stringing lighter weight string lights which does help a lot. I needed to camouflage my large concrete septic tank lid which sits below a portion of deck. It puts out tremendous light. I bought the 71” version but it swayed waaay too much.
