My goodness this thing is sturdy and tough! The assembly is fairly easy. I did it alone. The issue most have is starting those small screws using a screwdriver. I used my cordless drill for a bit until I heard someone yelling about me doing this at 0200. Love this, exactly what I was looking for. But after having to put two of them together, I understand now why it cost so much to pay to have it put together professionally. Funny in the instructions they skipped board number for board number four, and they skipped step seven instead in the instructions showing two number nines. The hinges were a little crooked too, and my husband had to maneuver them to be able to get the doors to look straight. And the other irritating factor and again think this is a FedEx issue but could be also a Wayfair issue is that the box is all came separately from two different locations so that the glass door parts and the main part came separately several days after we’d already received the shelves hey Siri delete us being able to put it together.. Really amazing little media cabinet. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly was very simple. The hardware was sorted in resealable bags which makes the assembly process much easier and while the included screwdriver was a nice addition, I would recommend using a full size one as the little one can really cramp up a hand. I was a little bit intimidated in how I would connect the doors, though I found just laying it on its back with the doors the hinges line up perfectly. Was also a little concerned that rough particle board was used, but with the overall design of the cabinet and its general function I don't think it's something to have much worry over at all as the board construction seems sturdy enough as it is. Finally, while not a negative factor at all, I thought this was going to end up being an espresso or dark brown, but turns out its much darker, which is what I was preferring anyways.. Nathan. It is painted with a chalk type paint, very flat, no sheen, there are 2 pieces, the hutch and bottom drawers, it is very heavy and solid, took 3 men to lift the hutch onto the bottom drawers. There are no holes for electrical/cable cords, we had to drill those ourselves. The cabinet was missing 2 shelves as well as 1 drawer with putty filler, there was a mistake when they drilled the holes for the hardware pulls.
