This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that. I would actually give this more of a 3.8 star. I put it together in about 3 1/2 hrs by myself. I had 1 piece that was cracked right down the middle and of course, it was a front piece so it is very noticeable. Very odd also because this piece was in the middle of the box surrounded by all the other pieces. Personally, I think it was cracked when putting the pieces in the box by the manufacturer. Anyway, it went together pretty easy. Not as easy as the desk but it wasn't horrible. I will say, the instructions are not near as accurate as the desk was. (Same manufacturer also). A couple pictures were labeled wrong and and some didn't show direction of panel so you have to look ahead in the steps to make sure you have it correct. Pretty slim material but when put together it is very sturdy. I will update review when I hear what manufacturer is going to do for the cracked piece.. Peter. Sun Jul 26 2026
