Orlandi Statuary Cherubs

Love my new garden sculpture! It was well packed for shipping and arrived in mint condition. It is solid/heavy and will be quite stable. I did think (per the picture online) that it would look a little more antiqued or vintage. In fact, it is lighter in color. I believe it will weather and age over time in my garden bed.. Lorena. Apollo and Daphne is a story from ancient Greek mythology. Apollo clutches Daphne's hip, pursuing her as she flees to escape him. Apollo wears a laurel crown, and Daphne is portrayed halfway through her metamorphosis into the laurel tree with her arms already transforming into its branches as she flees and calls to her father to save her from Apollo. A unique ornament for home, collectible items, and also a splendid idea as a gift since it immaculately combines artistic detail, finesse, and exceptional character.

I am an avid Halloween fanatic and I put together quite a large graveyard in my front yard. The balancing cherub is just a fantastic piece to be able to add to my display. I was able to purchase a pedestal and I have mounted the cherub to it and I will still be adding a little more detail to the pedestal but it will have its place in my graveyard this October. Paul.
