The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. It has a ton of storage, a really nice roomy workspace for my two large screens, my laptop on a stand, and for papers and whatever else ends up scattered across my desk! The drawers open nicely and smoothly, and the two file cabinets are great. And I love that I can keep my phone charger and another charger plugged in inside the top drawer, and the cord pass-through at the back of the desk is nice to help keep all those ugly cords organized and out of the way. I was so happy to see the desk when it was opened and brought into my house. I was curious about the colors I guess sometimes online images don’t look the same as it doesn’t person. I think these colors match the images that I saw online. I love the outlet feature on the back of the desk that has a cover, and it makes it easy to hide and store the cords for the computer. This desk was exactly what I was looking for to upgrade my home office. The shipping boxes had some damage but inside the parts were well protected. The instructions were OK but there were a few minor issues (eg it said you needed 6 screws but it was 5) nothing that common sense couldn’t resolve.
