This will be my new go to pan. It is solid, sturdy yet ergonomic with the handles. The depth is great for sautéing. The true red color will make this a fun pan to use for serving spicy appetizers. It holds heat extremely well. The dual pour sections make it easy to drain off any extra, unwanted fluid. The box was shipped, wrapped in bubble wrap. That was a good precaution. The box still came with some corner damage but the pan itself was fine. The package was heavy so it makes sense it might take a bit of a beating during shipping. Read the instructions! This is not like my traditional, old cast iron pans. It seems this does not season to a non-stick interior finish. The instructions suggest a bit of fat when heating to properly heat and cook foods. Love this and love the wood board that comes with it. My counter tops can't take extreme heat like a dutch oven. This is a really beautiful dutch oven. Love the leaf motif on the top. I own this in dark purple and loved it so much I bought one for my brother in orange. I’ve had mine for 5 years, absolutely zero chipping in the enamel or paint. Under the lid has little bumps to consolidate the steam as it builds up inside the pot and drips the water back into the pot rather than running water down the outside of the pot (which one of my Le Cruesets do).
