Small size silver certificates were issued from 1928 to 1964, in denominations of 1, 5, and 10. Silver Certificates also known as Blue Seals and Blue Seal Notes are still legal tender but since 1968 they have been redeemable only in Federal Reserve Notes and may no longer be exchanged for silver. The 10 dollar silver certificate is housed in a protective 5 x 8 inch vinyl portfolio. The 10 dollar bill features Alexander Hamilton on the front and the US Treasury on the back. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

This fascinating collection features three types of U.S. currency from the past century, a $2 Federal Reserve Note, the rare red ink $2 U.S. Note, and a $1 Silver Certificate last issued in 1957. They accounted for nearly all the notes in circulation until November 26, 1965, when the first Federal Reserve Notes were issued. Federal Reserve Notes account for 99% of the bills in circulation today. Authorized by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, each note is an obligation of the U.S. Government but is not redeemable in Silver. U.S. Notes, called "Legal Tender Notes" until 1873, are backed by the faith and credit of the U.S. Government. Displayed in a handsome acrylic frame.
