I bought 2 duvets, one in pink and one in white. Even though I put it on a queen bed I purchased the king size as the bed is very high. Unfortunately that also made the pillowcase too big but I’m alright with not using them. I gave it 4 stars because it wrinkles more than I like. Next time I wash it I’ll iron it with some starch. It is thin but a I bought this for a summer weight down. This is for a guest bedroom, for the primary room I often use these duvets without the down comforter making a great summer cover. Seriously though, who likes a weak comforter? Does anyone enjoy getting a comforter vacuum smushed in a box that looks like a flat sheet and comes with instructions to shake it out and wait 4 days? And, after those 4 days are up, it's still so thin you wonder if you were sent a flat sheet. The thought of such a comforter makes us sick! Sure, it's harder to create, produce, and ship such impossibly huge comforters that are "thicker than thick"... But isn't that the whole point? With the number of hours, we sleep (or should sleep) each night, it should be a crime to have a flat sheet-like comforter. Our thicker-than-thick coma inducer consists of 800 gsm of thick, pure goodness. Overly thick filling combined with cozy soft plush creates a deep sleep experience like no other. This bedding is beautiful. I have an oversized mattress and this has enough coverage so that the mattress doesn’t show. I would say it’s medium weight and provides nice warmth. The insert was already in the duvet so I just opened the packge and started decorating. I was skeptical about buying a velvet comforter for year round use but I’m glad I purchased this.
