This solar fountain is made of lightweight and durable stone-grey polyresin and fiberglass and features a pineapple topper with two stacked basins. Water flows from the top pineapple into the central basin, which fills and then overflows into the largest bottom pool before circulating. This fountain operates via solar power or the battery. In bright sunlight, the panel powers the pump while the battery pack collects and stores a charge. When cloudy or nighttime, the battery pack will activate and power the unit; when fully charged, it can do so for as many as 4 hours. Set up a little while ago layers snap but don’t seem very tight. Its much louder streaming than I thought, tried adjusting pump but haven’t gotten it to sound smoother trickling. The top bubbler is very wobbly. All in all the fountain looks nice just need to tweak the pump I guess. Not very easy to adjust the pump sine it’s enclosed. Cute fountain, a bit shorter than I realized. Had some blemishes in the glazing where it looks like someone applied a different material to fix it? The instructions didn’t include a great diagram of the part labeled “leak protector” so I had to find an online instruction manual for a similar fountain from the same company, which used the same part. The pump was a bit unwieldy to position. So far it’s a pleasant sound of water, no drips. Not sure if any birds will use it, I was hoping the sphere on top would attract hummingbirds to bathe. Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. I LOVE this fountain! I knew it was smaller/shorter and planned accordingly. Each piece of the fountain locks into the other for a sturdy construction when assembled. The center of the fountain also has a path for keeping cords hidden away. Water evaporates over time so please remember to occassionally check the water level in the fountain. Allowing the pump to operate without enough water will result in the pump to stop working. Beautifully finished in a terra cotta with four tiers, the fountain is a stylish addition to any landscape design.

I was honestly a bit nervous ordering this online, worried it might arrive broken or damaged in transit.
