The Conquistador Desk is a Spanish design rich in tradition and reminiscent of a grand era. It is a substantial fully constructed desk that is both heavily hand carved in solid hardwoods and combined with intricate iron from the hands of skilled blacksmiths. The desk drawers are well designed with multiple uses in mind including sized hanging file folders, each drawer utilizes upgraded ball bearing glides for smooth operation. The desk is finished in a deep brown wood tone and has unique finished affects consistent with the era of the design and resulting from Peruvian finishing techniques of hand rubbing and exposing the rich wood undertones. The item is from the Santa Lucia Collection by AFD Home which consists of handmade, hand painted, and distressed solid wood furniture making each piece a timeless investment. Hand crafted treasures made one piece at a time, under one roof, by our exclusive family owned manufacturer from Lima, Peru. Their master artisans are skilled in furniture making techniques influenced by the Spanish during the colonization of Peru. Many items in the diverse collection feature specialty hand painted finishes that have also been passed on and perfected from generation to generation. The family strives to be environmentally friendly by using woods re-purposed from haciendas and old colonial homes as well as wood indigenous to South American forests, primarily mahogany, cedar, mean and requiem. I have waffled on this between four and five stars. The chair is every bit as weighty and good looking as the pictures show. Not quite a chesterfield but chesterfield-like. The "faux leather" certainly feels as you would expect pleather to feel. I'm a fan of full grain leather typically but given the option of this versus a 2k+ chair of real leather it is a good compromise. I will say the following though as a "con" of sorts. There are a few comments here about the pitch of the seat. As an amateur woodworker I mistook this as not understanding that a proper seat needs pitch to be comfortable. The basic pitch (with the back locked) is a bit more than I thought it would be and I can see how a smaller person may not like it. I'm 6' and have it at top height so it works for me, but just be aware that the pitch of the seat is a bit more than you may be used to.. Andrew. Owens Cross Roads, AL. Sun Sep 13 2026

Porter is a standout collection with classic style. Natural wood veneers finished in warm brown with soft gold undertones feature a unique herringbone pattern with center “X” design. The vintage finish allows the natural wood grain to show through with added detail for an aged appearance, creating a casual yet elegant look. Captured end panels with additional moldings emphasize its clean straight forward appeal.

We absolutely love this desk! It is incredibly stately and substantial and instantly elevated the entire office. The finish and detailing give it a luxe, expensive look that is even more impressive in person. It feels like a true executive desk rather than typical office furniture. While it is definitely an investment, we feel it is completely worth the price. It has the look and presence of a much more expensive piece of furniture, along with plenty of storage and workspace. This is the kind of desk you buy once and keep for years. If you’re looking for something timeless, substantial, and high-end, this is it. We couldn’t be happier with it!. Lindsay. Lake Zurich, IL.
