I purchased two of these storage units a few years ago, and they’ve been surprisingly versatile! We originally used both in our playroom to store kids’ toys. After moving last year and as the kids have gotten older, I repurposed one for our laundry room to store cleaning supplies, pool towels, and other household essentials. Since I still have a toddler, I added a childproof lock to keep cleaning products safely out of reach. There’s plenty of storage space, and we typically keep a small step stool on the bottom shelf as well. The second unit is in our basement and is used for miscellaneous household storage. I love that the shelves are adjustable, making it easy to customize the space for different items as our needs change. One thing to note is that we did encounter a few imperfections during assembly, so I wouldn’t recommend these if you’re planning a perfectly seamless, custom built-in look. However, for everyday storage, they’re attractive, functional, and hold a ton of stuff. I’ve been happy with how easily we’ve been able to repurpose them throughout our home over the years!. Mandy. I had to cancel the bookcases that come with the middle unit because they kept delaying the delivery date. Also, the middle unit comes in two boxes, A and B. One of the boxes has no tools in it, so when you open the 1 box and you take all the pieces out, don’t go thinking that the tools are missing because more than likely they’re in the other box. In terms of the two additional bookshelves that go on each side of the middle unit, I don’t know about that because I never received those. But for a second I thought was missing tools until I opened the other box, so just remember that the middle unit comes as box A and B. That said, it took some time to put together, but it’s pretty straightforward. Just make sure you pay attention to the direction of which the pieces go. Also, you WILL NEED someone to help you put the top on the bottom because you can’t do it yourself, even if you have the strength to pick it up, you still need someone to help you line up the nails on part A into the holes on part B once you put both together. And remember, this is from box A and box B, which is impossible to do on your own. I already tried. Unless you get on a ladder and have a mirror or some kind of concoction you will simply not be able to do it without risking tearing up the wood. So needless to say it’s a two man job to put the two pieces together. But it will be beautiful in the end. And I plan to get my other two book cases somewhere else or some similar ones from Wayfair I just got tired of waiting. ). Erin W.. MD. Fri Oct 09 2026
