I ordered these chair mats recently and was a little surprised that they felt pretty cold when they arrived. If you’re ordering during the winter, I’d recommend letting them sit at room temperature for a while before unrolling them. Once they warmed up and I followed the instructions, they flattened out without any issues. So far they’ve been working really well. My chair glides smoothly on the carpet now, which is a big improvement from before. They also look nice and are easy to wipe clean, so maintenance has been simple. This is a beautiful, high-quality chair mat and I'm very happy I purchased the chair mat yet it is much darker in color than shown in the description photo. I’ve only had this product for, like, half an hour, but I really like it. Seems to be good quality and sturdy. I have it on what I’d call medium pile carpet and my chair rolls fine, actually smoother than the cheap plastic thing with teeth I had before. I wish this wasn’t so pricey but I’m happy with what I got, so I can’t complain. A few questionable design/quality choices like the base/tilt piece sitting on top of the bracket that connects the seat bottom and back together, leaving a gap that adds unnecessary strain to these parts. The base is nothing special you wouldn't find on any cheap chair. The upper seat is pretty nice, especially for the price.
