This product was easy to apply and looks fantastic. Unfortunately ours came with black edges, so there's a black substance that wipes off. You'll need to wipe every one off thouroughly to rub off the black. We applied in a bedroom behind a bed, so it looked FANTASTIC, but we continue to get black on hands and bedding. Love these! Wanted to jazz up my wall, a bit. It all started, when I decided I wanted to cover up the wallpaper seams that started looking more prominent. Went with the Walnut color, and they were beautiful out of the box, so I didnt want to paint or stain over them. Have a few left, so I might try and get a little more creative with some going in another direction. Havent gotten that far yet. They were super easy to cut, with a Japanese saw, and I opted to just use a brad nailer, without glue, if in the future I decide to change it up. I can hopefully pry them off easily.. Jennifer N.. I am very pleased with these wall panels. I was a little hesitant to purchase something so long, and thin enough to perhaps be damaged in shipping. But every piece was in perfect condition. I bought the alder, which was easy for me to cut with a Japanese style hand saw. Another reviewer mentioned the black charring on the sides, and yes that was a pain because it got all over my hands and on the wall as I was leaning the boards up to visualize. I washed it off as best as I could, then primed and painted. Seems as though the black edging would be a problem if I was just staining or keeping natural. Painting has worked for me though, as did construction adhesive with no nailing required. These wall panels have really jazzed up my entryway and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.. Karen. If I had realized just how easy to install these panels would be, I wouldn't have taken so long to put them up. Install was truly a breeze with the provided screws and a power tool. I went for a fun little design on a wall in our dog's room. The only pain point with these panels is that each strip of wood has a plastic film on it that is hard to remove. I guess the protection the film provides during transit is worth it. I'll get around to removing the film, but ended up doing the install with most of the protective film still on there.. Michelle. I’ve already gotten compliments on these panels. They add a much needed accent to a wall that was way too bare. They also are not overwhelming to the space but do add an illusion of height. I dropped one star for assembly issues. I started with liquid nails but no matter how long I held them, they slipped out of place when I let go.
