I was looking for a set that I could decorate ”around” and not be the focal point of my dining table. This set is perfect for that. Gone are the days of a vibrant red set for me! I’m not good enough to be able to decorate for every season with that. And … I just didn’t. The genius in me decided to fix that problem and not put myself into a financial hardship. I’m getting 25 off with this review! (I didn’t know Wayfair did that!!!) So, to make it worth Wayfair’s 21.00 … I’ve even loaded them into my dishwasher for you! Anyway, this set is beautiful! I love the soft white, the concentric circles, and just the wee bit of off kilter around the edges. They aren’t too heavy for my early beginnings of thumb arthritis, either. And my friends, I appreciate how they load into the dishwasher. (See pictures.) I’m excited to host Thanksgiving this year. Now, I just need to find someone who knows how to cook! lol. Meredith. Beloved for its sophisticated simplicity, versatility, and durability, Lastra is our bestselling collection. The understated elegance, clean lines, and unique shape of the Lastra 12" dinner plate make it a timeless choice for any table. Lastra's design was inspired by the circular wooden slabs used for centuries to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. When fashioned together with twine, the hoop was left with a slight overlap to help maintain the shape of the cheese mold. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli incorporates the overlapping detail into the entire design, from its foot to its rim. A dark dusting on the edges of each piece suggests the ash that was used to preserve these cheeses and highlights each unique silhouette.
