This will take 2-3 people to assemble (3 people for the roof to make it easier). If you are putting this together yourself you and helper or two should be able to get it done in about 6 hours or so. Once correctly assembled it is very sturdy and is exactly what we were looking for a more permanent structure. This replaces an all cloth (with metal frame) gazebo that we had and it looks like it is going to last quite nicely. The mosquito netting on the top is a bit of a joke. It isn't big enough to fit all around the interior roof. By the time you get half of the net up, the other half starts coming off the Velcro. Maybe it will stretch out over time? PRO's: - Very Sturdy once all assembled and mounted down. - Shipped with a lot of foam padding and hard wood ends to protect the roofing from damage. - Minor bends from shipping that could be bent back with pilers. - Cloth curtains and inner bug netting does fit all around (if installed correctly) to fully enclose the gazebo. - Cloth curtains also appear to be made of good quality fabric. - Says it will hold up to 3,000 lbs of snow, and wind gusts up to 55 mph. Where I live it will test this! CON's: - 1 of the 3 boxes is EXTREMELY HEAVY. First the good. The Gazebo looks amazing and, for the most part, was easy to assemble. We have a circular shaped patio which made it a small challenge to find a shade structure to cover most of the area as efficiently as possible. A rectangular structure that fit on the patio space would not have covered the space great, a rectangular or square structure would have had to be larger than the patio space requiring some digging to secure the system. The Octagonal design and size of the octagon fits almost perfectly onto the space. Assembly was very easy, fortunately I had a hex bit that fit the screws used for the assembly which saved my wrists from the stress of using the provided allan key. Only two hangups with the assembly, one, the metal roof has a layer of shipping film on both sides which took a few hours to remove from all of the pieces, definitely slowed moment. The second issue is the installation of the brackets that secure the roof could have been more clear, it took some time to get everything aligned so the caps could be installed. Some patience is needed for this portion. Only a couple of issues that prevent the 5 star. One, the unit is not very tall, when fully assembled the entry height is only 76" which we were aware of thanks to the drawings in the listing. I solved this by mounting the gazebo to some blocks that raised the height to better align with the patio steps. The other issue is with one of the pieces, it had a split running almost the entire length of the board and, in sections, appeared on both sides of the piece. I did reach out to the email listed in the instructions, they offered a discount on my total purchase, which I accepted. If I need to, replacing the board wouldn't be an issue for me so I accepted the discount, a replacement piece was not offered. In summary, we are very happy with the unit. It provides much needed shade for a space that receives significant sun from noon until 5PM in the summer. Took one person 3 days to put up. Very easy with the instructions. Looks great. Very solid. Will buy curtains to block out sunweather. After weeks of debating on which one to purchase, I believe I made the best decision. Can’t be happier. The only con was shipping. My son, who is an architectural engineer had no trouble putting together this gazebo for my 60th birthday, he was impressed with the craftsmenship, the only downside was the size of delivery, I was forced to have the 18 wheeler back over my grass lawn and drop the pallets since they could only be dropgate delivery.. the neighborhood, strangers and passerby’s have inquired about this product so it may produce more sales...next twinkle lights, flower bed and a chime and picture will be complete..happy birthday to me!. It’s a beautiful gazebo once it’s set up. Our family friend who’s a contractor put it up for us in a day. It’s solid and mounted to our wood deck. The curtains are an added bonus although they occasionally loosen after tying. There’s an indie hook at the top of the ceiling that can be used to hang a light fixture. Theirs is also a zippered area at the top of the ceiling designed to keep debris on the roof from falling below on the inside of the gazebo. We also strung lights on the inside. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. The railings have a handrail with a top and bottom rail notched to receive the balusters for easy assembly and a strong long-lasting railing. At the top of the posts, you will find half-moon braces for stability and rigidity.

The gazebo turned out better than I envisioned. I went with the hard top this time as our previous SunJoy Gazebo had a canvas top and the squirrels each year would shred it to make their nest. I really like the structure and screen windows. I would suggest making sure you set up the openingdoors that best fits your area so that both doors can be utilized if thats a big deal for you. I have not yet been able to construct the Octagonal Gazebo with the unique design. The parts came quickly and in 4 separate boxes and the robust structure is part of the weight. My disappointment at this point is that the instructions offer no "footprint" for the gazebo. Dimensions can be found in the website images, but they are not specific enough to place the twin piers. The lack of the footprint makes construction more challenging, because I would like to bury eight concrete piers in appropriate locations, ensuring drainage and stability, Without a specific layout, it appears I must construct the gazebo frame and then bury the piers, which will be cumbersome.
