This table is HEAVYYYYY!!!!! Solid wood and very sturdy. I have moved into my first home and have put together a ton of pieces of furniture and this one would’ve been worth it to pay someone to do. It was kind of tricky getting the shelf to line up with the notches in the legs. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the wood split on both sides of the shelf by the leg and because of the water spots on one area of the table top. I give this table/chair set 2 stars due to 1) the quality and condition of the pieces received, mostly related to the chairs and 2) the difficulty in assembling. Several pieces arrived chipped or with the wood deformed, making one of the chairs impossible to put together. We had to send this chair back. For several of the other chairs in this set we had to buy a wood pen to color in the chipped areas. It was disappointing to buy a new table set and have it look like it had been used. Separately, assembly took awhile to figure out as none of the individual pieces were labeled and the diagram did not show accurate renderings of the pieces. This led to many stops and re-dos before we finally got it right. Overall I would question the quality control on this product and would neither purchase again nor recommend.. Anonymous.
