Beautiful look and color of chair! Traditional style and lines. However I think there is a flaw in the design. Others said in reviews that it was a very deep chair. The bottom cushion is very firm, almost overstuffed and the back cushion is very soft. So when you sit down, you create an opening between the top cushion and bottom cushion of at least 1-2 inches. You can touch the back wood of the chair with your fingers. My low back was not supported at all then. Tried adding a small pillow and that made it somewhat better. Very deep seat which is nice if you’re putting your feet up, but otherwise my feet did not touch the ground (5 ft 6 in). I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. Pretty chairs, exactly as pictured. Easy to assemble. The chairs are pretty deep so you cant sit back in them comfortably... but I have boys on the verge of being teenagers so no one sits in a chair normally in my house anyhow! If you like to curl up and read, the chairs are perfect for that. I would say that since I like to move furniture around a lot, these are not the best chairs for that. When I pull on the back of the chair to move it, the back starts to come off - its not broken - its just pulling up along the metal slide that it slots into. They really complement our room and decor. They seem to be made well and have a slightly higher seating height which adds to their comfort ( I’m 5’ 11”). The chairs are fairly comfortable straight out of the box even with the cushions being a little firm, but we hope they will become very comfortable with some use as the cushions get broken in more.
