Assembly took about 2 hours with two people, but the instructions were straightforward and the finished product was definitely worth the time. It is not real wood, so I would be careful with the surface—I wouldn’t place hot pans directly on it or set drinks down without a coaster. Good basic island for a kitchen needing more counter and drawer space. Just like all the other reviews said, its incredibly short and about 6 inches shorter than our kitchen counters, so we plan to modify the legs to make it taller and maybe add doors to the bottom for extra cabinet space. The open shelving is very short, but nicely fits our dutch ovens and cast iron wok on display. I knew the measurements of the drawers ahead of time, so I knew Id need to configure my ziploc bags and things like tinfoil carefully, but they do in fact fit. Its nice having a junk drawer, tea drawer, and drawer for potholders and oven mitts. (I wouldnt recommend trying to use the drawers for spices as I dont think they would fit, and if they did it wouldnt fit many.) Shipping took a little over a week. The initial packages arrived with the top part damaged on the corner and a missing piece for assembly (I received two of something I only needed one of, and then zero of the piece necessary for completing the assembly), so I reached out to Wayfair customer service and they sent out the replacement pieces which took another week, but besides the inconvenience of delayed assembly it was a smooth process. All in all, Im happy with what I got for the price (380 after sale price and 15 off coupon). I wouldnt pay more than that given that none of it is real wood and assembly took me 2 hours even with an electric drill, but for the cost it looks nice in the space and functions well.. Savannah. Nice quality piece of furniture. The granite top looks darker online, but like another customer stated, could be just the differences in the natural granite. Mine was more of a light cream colored. I purchased the kitchen island in the European Cherry, and it smells like it was just stained prior to it being shipped. It is beautiful and worth every penny! I am using it as a coffee station. What you don't see in these pictures, because I have this up against a wall, is that there is another set of cabinet doors on the other side so that you can get to the cabinet on either side of this kitchen island. The full-service delivery was exceptional! Very pleasant two young men delivered this piece of furniture without any issues.
