We are using this as a shoe cabinet. Wayfair calls it a bookshelf, but I don’t think I would ever recommend it for books — the shelves are not adjustable and are way too short for books. They are perfect for our shoes, though! Even our boots fit nicely on the taller shelves. I am giving four stars because the construction of the doors, though cute, is not very sturdy at all. If you have active pets or kids I think they’re likely to break easily. Hopefully ours hold up since it’s in an out of the way location in our home, but only time will tell. I gave 4 stars because 1 of the tall doors came with only 2 holes bored for the hinges. So we had to wait for it to be replaced before we could finish. Wayfair is very fast to respond to damage or parts issue and they worked with the manufacturer to get the door replaced in just a few days! It did take 2 people to place the top of the unit onto the bottom half safely. This is a very nice piece and went together very well. It wasn't difficult to assemble but did take about 6.5 hours to complete with one person, and while it came with a small screwdriver, I would highly recommend just using your own larger screwdriver, if you have it, to spare your fingers.. Our first bookcase took about four hours to assemble, but by the time we built the second one, we’d learned the process and finished it in under three hours. One tip for future buyers the instructions have you attach the hinges to the cabinet doors first and then install them after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to attach the hinge hardware to the cabinet frame before installing the top panel, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it’s much easier than trying to work in a cramped space with tiny screws. Overall, these bookcases exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with the look and quality at this price point. I was struggling to find something to for my narrow space in this room. They do feel more expensive than the other similar items in this price range. A few things to note, I don’t love the slight seam to the backing but it’s is hardly noticeable when decorated. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces. Was a bit worried buying such an expensive set of office furniture without seeing it first but I'm super happy with the whole set. Came fully assembled with full delivery (they unbox, place in the room of your choice, take away the boxes and packaging). This is probably the prettiest office set I've ever seen. Very unique and trendy looking with the vertical fluting but yet because the color is a dark neutral I think it will age well and not go out of style (hopefully). I've been to tons of high end executive houses and this office set is nicer than anything I've seen in those expensive homes. The set is pricy but I bought on good sales with Wayfair and the quality is 100% worth the price. Delivery was amazing and my experience with Wayfair so far on other items has also been great so far. No regrets. One thing I did find hard was to find all of the co-ordinating pieces because they all have different names. So I'll help by naming all of the co-ordinating pieces I bought that matched perfectly.
