Exactly as expected. This chair was easy to assemble, the pieces were simple and the instructions were straightforward. The assembly seems sturdy and holds my 175lb son with ease. I bought it for his desk in his room so a pad for under the chair will probably be beneficial but it glides nicely on our hardwood floors. Beautiful, sturdy desk. Gave 4 stars due to four of the pre-drilled holes not being complete by the manufacturer. My husband had to use his electric drill to complete the holes and doing this a piece of the veneer chipped off. Thankfully this chipped veneer piece is small and cannot be seen. If the manufacturer had correctly made the holes for the screws then my husband would not have had to use his electric drill. Overall desk is very nice and perfect for my home office.. April.
