The Broan 41000 non-ducted range hood provides effective filtration, high quality and value. This was a great upgrade from my old extremely outdated vented range. It was on back order so I had to wait 3 weeks before it arrived. Once I had it installed I turned it on and the fan was not working. After moving it around and slightly pushing it in it worked just fine. This humidity sensing exhaust bath fan, energy star offers easy, room-side installation, with “No Attic Access Required”. The humidity sensing feature will automatically turn the fan on when a preset level has been reached, thus allowing for proper ventilation throughout the room.

This is a nice fan!!! The description is not accurate, it has no light. It was not a surprise for me because I got a description from the Broan site using the fan's code AE50110DCS. I had AE50110DC and wanted to replace it with an automatic fan that turns on automatically when humidity is high and works for a specific period of time (it has a timer, a duration is up to 60 min). The fan allows the user to select a speed 50, 80 or 110 CFM. My previous fan (AE50110DC) had a permanent speed of 110. AE50110DCS at 110 makes the same level of noise as AE50110DC at 110. AE50110DCS at 80 is a little bit quieter, just a little bit. Therefore, I selected the speed 50 CFM which is really quiet for me. I set a humidity selector at 70% and a timer at 60 min. I know that for a 4PC bathroom the speed of 50 CFM is not enough but I keep a door to the bathroom open all the time and the fan will run for 60 minutes, then check humidity again and start a new 60-min cycle if humidity is above 70%. I guess it should be enough, time will show. I had a choice to buy a bigger Panasonic fan which is as quiet at 110 CFM as this fan at 50 CFM, but decided to use a fan with the same dimensions as my old one. UPDATE I bought this cord for the range picture above and it absolutely did not work. The cord itself I’m sure is great but not meant for this range. Which I’m not an electrician nor have I installed anything so I’m sure someone with those skills would have noticed prior to ordering this. I did get a refund from Wayfair on this product which was so sweet! I ended up buying a 30-amp rangedryer cord from Lowe’s As for now, I’ll rate this 5 stars because it was extremely fast shipping and it’s undamaged. Im currently waiting for the range that I bought this for (from Wayfair as well) but there’s no shipping information on it even though I bought it at the same as this cord. I absolutely love this hood. The black stainless steel matches my other appliances from another brand perfectly. The fan is quite powerful and the dual led lights are amazingly bright and make cooking on the stovetop so much better. It hasn’t been installed long enough to evaluate the longevity or the efficiency of the filters or how easy they are to clean, but considering their size and placement I don’t foresee any problems..
