I shopped for a long time at multiple retailers looking for a chair with all the features. This one has a seat wide enough for my dog to sit with me, swivels, and has a cup holder. I was looking for all these features plus a light gray tweed fabric and built in automated controls. As it turned out, this one having a corded remote turned out to be fortunate as the remote did not work and the vendor had to send a replacement. Had it been built in and not worked the whole chair would have had to be boxed up and returned for an exchange. I am not sure I could have done that without help due to the weight. The replacement remote took 14 days by FedEx which was unimaginable but this was not Wayfair's fault. Not sure how well the furry white fabric will hold up, but it is pretty.. Margaret. We were very pleased with this stylish power recliner. The soft grey chenille is comfortable and modern looking. I think it will hold up well in time to come. What we really enjoy about the recliner is all the latest features, yet in a very simple design. It has a power lift leg rest that fully moves the chair to a horizontal position with the touch of one button (picture #3 below). One button reclines the chair, one brings it back to normal position. Easy for an elderly person. I might add, it moves super slow and smooth, with almost no noise in regards to the power. We love it! It also swivels almost completely, and has a gentle rocking movement that I enjoy the most. Nice for a parent with a small child or baby. Really handy is the USB port on the side of the chair for electronics. There is additional side storage for magazines, notebooks, or phone, and a thoughtful cup holder off the side of the recliner that the tv clicker sometimes ends up in. I would not say the recliner is particularly oversized, but it is still very roomy. It was fairly easy to attach pieces together. My fourth picture below shows the metal bars that the side pieces and back just slide into to attach. There were just a few screws to do on each side panel and two cords underneath the chair to be plugged in together for the power. It was not bad at all.
