Just as there are myriad techniques of rug weaving, there are many ways to weave a Vessel. Each design’s texture mimics the techniques of coiling, plaiting and twining, achieved by juxtaposing raised and shrunken parts of the fiber. Rush has a dainty tone-on-tone raised chevron pattern, intricate and subtle.

This is really a beautiful rug. I got it because it claims to be washable. The back is pretty stiff, so Im not sure how this would actually even fit in a commercial washing machine. This is a very attractive rug, although the colors were softer and lighter than I expected. I returned it because there was no backing as indicated in the description and it slid easily on the floor. (I would suggest getting purchasing a rug pad with it.) I was also looking for a washable rug, and although the description indicated it is washable, with a jute-style backing, it would have been difficult to get into a washing machine. The rug just arrived today and I was happy to be able to put it down in my office/craft room. I'm using it without a rug pad and the underside of the rug grips the wood floors pretty well so it's not moving around. The main color of the rug is definitely more of a denim/indigo blue in person than it reads in the picture on the website, but that's what I was hoping for.
