This rug is definitely not black as described, however, I would call this charcoal. I absolutely loved the color color as it ended up working best with my floor being charcoal instead of black. The rug has black embossing on it which is a nice subtle contrast to the charcoal color. I couldn’t be happier it is a nice quality rug as well. It has a thickness of approximately half inch which is perfect for not tripping and looks like a quality rug. I am very happy. I also purchased the matching round rug for my kitchen area.
