It is very light weight, but seems sturdy and does the job! Mine is inside my elevator entry, so not outside, so I can't speak to how it might hold up in the outdoors. But it does not slide around, fits will. The photo makes it look like it is the width of a door (standard outside door is 36") and this is no where near, so the photo is misleading in my opinion.
