I’m very pleased with this iced tea maker so far. Even though the pitcher is glass, it is surprisingly lightweight and easy to lift. It also brews the tea fairly quickly. I don’t like my tea too strong, so I really like that you can adjust the strength to your preference. My previous iced tea maker had a plastic pitcher that cracked in several places, so I decided to replace it with one that has a glass pitcher. I’m glad I made the switch. I was excited to get these because they clicked off many of my wants in a glass pitcher, especially for making sun tea. A pitcher that fit on the refrigerator door, one with a handle, one with a lid for different pouring options. And most importantly, glass that could handle some temperature changes. This pitcher worked great for all of the above for about a week, and then I tapped it against the kitchen faucet while washing it, and it broke! A hole in the side where it hit. Very disappointed in what I thought was a good thing! The glass seems fragile, and the handle seemed delicate when lifting the full pitcher. I love this ice maker and I use it every single day! It makes small kind of hollow ice cubes so quickly, about 5() minutes after turning it on( sometimes a bit longer) such a simple on button that turns white when it’s on, or red when it’s the basket is full of ice or the water reservoir runs low. It stays on and the ice cubes won’t melt if the basket is full, I like that. It does make a bit of noise, but not too loud. It is a work horse! It cranks out the ice!
