Wow! This is cute. I was scared because I had to cut my drywall to recess it into the wall. I found my studs, marked them, centered the shelf in-between. I had my daughter hold it up, i traced it with a pencil and cut it out with a drywall knife. It slid right in. I screwed it to the studs....so easy. The whole process took 20 minutes. I love it. We finished our basement and put this niche in the wall opposite the bottom of the stairs into the basement.
