The color is perfect, although the wood grain is painted on rather than real wood and some color rubbed off when I removed a scuff that was on the front of a drawer when I unboxed it. This dresser is really nice. It took four hours to put together with one person doing it. The fact that it has so many drawers was the reason for taking longer. One complaint I have is the mechanism that is used to keep the drawers from pulling all the way out are a flimsy little wood dowel which is not stationary in its place. Dresser is great and was easy to put together all by myself. It did take a little longer than the 30 minutes the instructions said but probably could have been done if I had a second person. Love this huge heavy dresser. And white glove delivery was great. Just a few notes, who ever did assemble it was sloppy. Plastic left on hinges inside and just thrown in the back of the dresser all had to be removed and all drawers had to be reset. A little wd40 helped fix.
