It makes very good coffee, but as many have said, the carafe is poorly designed. I got the stainless carafe and it came with a chip in the lining material right under the spout, where the coffee would come out. Also, there always is coffee remaining in the carafe when you think you have poured it all, so you have to take off the lid part and pour the rest out. This is not a deal breaker for me, but the carafe engineers could have done better. Also, you cannot just buy a new carafe from GE, they don't sell it separately. I went to Partstps dotcom and am hopeful that one I order will come without a lining flaw. I have started putting in 2.5 cups of water and brew 3 cups to ensure the water drains out more completely from the inside unit, and I open the reservoir and brewing area after I am done so moisture does not cause an issue. I like having a choice of either the metal filter or paper filters. Regarding the carafe issue, I was able to get credits on my Wayfair account to help offset the cost of a new carafe It was a GE factory error and Wayfair customer service was very good.. Mimi. Sw Va. Really good coffee maker! Consistently makes good coffee on the gold setting and the bluetooth features are really nice! Only complaint is that the water reservoir doesnt come off on the model I have, which makes it hard to clean out. Also after 2 years the clock LED has begun to fail. Otherwise it has served us well.. A masterpiece of Swiss engineering, the new Z10 doubles the range of specialty coffees. At the touch of a button, it prepares the full spectrum of hot drinks from intense espresso to on-trend flat white. It also opens up a whole new dimension in the enjoyment of coffee with the introduction of cold brew specialties. This is made possible thanks to the Product Recognizing Grinder (P.R.G.), which recognizes the chosen specialty and instantly and precisely adjusts the fineness of the grind accordingly. In addition, JURA has developed the pioneering cold extraction process – a quite literally refreshing innovation. In this process, cold water is slowly pulsed through the freshly ground coffee under high pressure. The result is a completely new way of experiencing coffee – refreshing, energizing, and with a wonderfully balanced aroma. This outstanding premium coffee machine features a double-speed 4.3” touch display and a blue crystal rotary switch. Thanks to the specialty selection menu, it's exceptionally easy and intuitive to use. The technological quantum leap is also reflected in sculptural design. The convex-concave front panel is visible proof of the attention to detail and absolute manufacturing precision. Its high quality makes the Z10 a statement of excellent taste.
