This is by far the best market umbrella I’ve ever owned. The auto tilt is amazing as you slowly keep cranking after the umbrella is fully extended, the auto tilt engages and the umbrella will automatically tilt. Once you start cranking in the opposite direction to close the umbrella, the auto tilt disengages and the umbrella stands upright so you can finish closing it. I bought the 12’x12’ Size and it is awesome! It provides amazing shade on our sun drenched mountain back porch. It’s substantial, impressive and beautiful. I also purchased a compatible wheeled base, which I highly recommend if you think you’ll need it to be portable. The only issue is that the upper canopy arrived with a small tear in it and we’re waiting on next steps from the manufacturer. The umbrella is beautiful, but I advise anyone purchasing it to add the 1 year protection warranty, I didn’t, and my umbrella snapped and broke in the cranking area (within a 3 month time span) and Wayfair was unable to help me, I could not get any replacement parts or a new umbrella.
