I love this boat bookcase! It took a few weeks to get it, but when it arrived it was perfect. Worth the wait! I was a little concerned that it would be the one that looked a bit more ‘distressed’, but it isn’t at all. This is the “Blue” version that is 74” H x 18” W x 20” D. The paint is very smooth and flawless. The color is a lighter aquateal color, which I really like. It’s very sturdy and doesn’t rock at all when you touch it, and doesn’t seem like it will tip over easily, so I skipped anchoring it to the wall. Very pleased with this purchase!. Pegasys777. The endeavor was hailed as the most beautiful J-Class yacht ever built. She was the best and most impressive sailboat that Britain ever built to race in America's Cup series. Endeavour had speed as well as beauty. Built in 1933 by T.O.M. Sopwith, the undisputed leader of the British aircraft industry, Endeavour possessed many new and innovative devices, including below-deck winches, new sail designs, and an improved spinnaker. Even with an amateur crew, she came closer to winning the Cup than any other challenger up to that time. The endeavor was a faster yacht than her contender Rainbow. She beat Rainbow in the first two races. However, the American team was a much more OK crew and defeated Endeavour all the next three races by out-thinking her captain. In the third race, as a direct result of Vanderbilt, the skipper of ''Rainbow'', failing to pull away, the yachts almost collided when Endeavour had the right of way. Sopwith raised the protest flag after the race in accordance with British rules. The race committee dismissed the protest as the American rules stated the protest flag is to be flown at the time of the foul. This prompted a British writer to comment, ''Britannia rules the waves, but America waives the rules.'' When Endeavour returned to England she continued to dominate the British racing scene until 1938 when she was laid up for the duration of World War II. Saved by Elizabeth Meyer of New Port, RI, today she is one of the most breathtaking sights on the water. To take the helm of such a yacht is to experience pure power, grace, and speed.

Our Cutty Sark model is scratched built plank on frame and strip by strip of exotic wood put together. It is completely hand built by skillful and creative master craftsmen; you will be amazed at how real it looks. The hull is truly beautiful, combined with skills and pure wood, the hull is smoothening out equally giving a shiny and silky feel on side of the hull. On the ship, you can easily locate stunning wooden details such as: 3 wooden booms, 1 wooden bunker, 4 front and 1 main masts with fabric sails and detailed stitching, all rigging are matching colors, 4 wooden boats, 2 wooden storage room, 2 metal fences on the front and back of the ship, 2 metal ornaments embedded with Cutty Sark locating in the back and front left of the ship, 2 metal anchors, 1 metal statue in front of the ship, and many more. We absolutely use no plastic parts only the highest quality wood and metal. Our model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures and drawings. Attached to this model is a wooden stand with a metal name plate embedded Cutty Sark 1869. This model is being ship inside a secure wooden crate; it comes fully-assembled and ready to be display.
