I love this bench. The seat is firm The whole bench seems very well-made. The wood is pretty. There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls! This is a great sturdy bench and shoe storage area for an entrance of a house. It was very easy to put together, except the directions were not clear enough on the final four screws that connect the top to the sides, I accidentally pushed it too tight and they pressed through the top of the bench. A solid bench option - works great for our space. Easy assembly and it was clear and quick. However, we could tell there were some imperfections on the benches and they were just touched up with some kind of wood putty, no touch up putty was provided but it would have been nice to have. These are for a second home, which we rent sometimes, so we are keeping them. The outside holes for the screws also don’t have any kind of cover which would have been nice. Overall, a good option.. I like the bench, it's sturdy, the finish is nice, the storage lid has a controlled open/close (not soft-close). Only complaint is small dings on the lid edge and on the interior of storage bench.
