They don't describe the color in the description and when I zoomed in I thought they looked more burnished bronze. In person they are definitely copper like a penny. The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. This has been a terrible bed frame, my mattress no matter how thin made my bed extremely high. There is a ugly skirt that hid the frame corners and has become hazardous, everyone hits there chins on it, I now removed that bottom frame and am using the back board free standing, you should probably warn people that your bed will be 4 ft above the floor.
