This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The side table did arrive chipped twice, but customer service has been wonderful, kind, and extremely prompt about sending out replacements. Fair warning on the assembly side of things because you will want to bring your patience the instructions are horrific and none of the parts are marked, so setup turns into a bit of a guessing game.
