This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. This foam sofa is definitely an oversized love seat. Unboxing it was astonishing! Once the plastic is cut the couch starts to take shape so have plenty of room around it. I was not prepared for the couch take over. LoL! The fabric is soft and nice to the touch. The pillows needed fluffing of course but have kept a good shape. The cup holder is convenient.
