This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I had 2 friends assemble this for me. They do furniture assembly on the side, so have tons of experience. They hated this couch assembly. Told me it was by far the worst experience in their 10+ years of doing furniture assembly. Took them 4+hours and having to disassemble it twice before finally getting it to work. It is a nice couch. But it is sorta stiff in the cushion. I am considering finding a mat/pad of some sort to put under it. It's actually comfortable to sleep on (I like a firm mattress). I love the one piece cushion. The fabric is very nice. The green is very pretty. 4 stars for the overall couch, minus a million and one stars for the horrible terrible no good very bad assembly instructions. Also, after assembly, the boxes weren’t disposed of; I was advised that I was responsible for hauling the boxes away. I’m handicapped and this was very difficult.
