They fit spindles measuring up to 6.5″ in width. Note: You will need two clamps for each side of the gate for optimal support.

Works great. Love that we could drill holes into the wood rather than our banister. I had to order more pieces than anticipated because of the style of banister. Overall, works great and we have a piece of mind to keep our kids safe. Elizabeth Female. Marlborough, MA. Mon May 07 2018

Super solid, well-designed, easy to install. Comes with concrete anchors, so if you want to screw into wood (with adequate blocking underneath of course), make sure to get other fasteners. I used GRK RSS Hardened Steel Climatek-Coated Star-Head Structural Wood Screws Coarse Thread 516 x 8. They are about 2.50 per screw, and you need 4 per bracket. Pictured are 3 from our smaller deck. 16 panes of 12 glass in total. And yes, 12 fits perfectly, with room to spare. Not limited to 12mm. Im very happy with my purchase.. David. Kingston, ON.
