A wave of the hand is all it takes to activate the Nine Stars' stainless-steel trash can, while its fingerprint-resistant coating keeps messes where they belong - within. A custom delay sensor keeps the ABS-plastic dual lid from sliding open at inopportune moments, while the unit's patented soft-close system keeps peace front and center. And if you're a fan of saving, you'll do plenty thanks to unprecedented battery life that allows for approximately a year's worth of openings and closings.

The trash can looks fancy and has two okay size compartments to separate recyling and regular trash. Just wish it didn’t need batteries to operate. Also, the lid cannot be locked to the can which is a bummer. Anonymous. Thu Oct 22 2026

Keep your garbage out of sight anywhere in your home with the 13.2-gallon and 3.2-gallon dual stainless steel motion sensor trash cans from nine stars. These stainless steel trash cans feature motion sensor lids that use infrared technology to automatically open when motion is detected within 10 inches or at a 130-degree angle from the sensor. The lids will then stay open while they sense debris in range, and softly close 3 seconds after you move away. Additionally, manual mode keeps the trash can lids open longer, giving you more time to clean up larger messes with ease. Replaceable ring liners in each trash can hold your trash bag in the bin to keep the bag from falling as you throw away the trash. The receptacle's sleek, stainless steel design doesn't show fingerprints and has a non-skid base to keep your kitchen, bathroom, or office looking its best. The trash cans require 3 C-sized batteries (large) and 2 C-sized batteries (small) for operation. With a sleek design and expert functionality, your home will always feel clean with the 13.2-gallon and 3.2-gallon dual stainless steel motion sensor trash cans from nine stars.

Great touch-top can, but finding the right bags can be tricky The touch-top mechanism has been very reliable and the lid closes quietly. I purchased the green and the color looks great in person—it’s nice to have a trash can that doesn’t look purely utilitarian. Changing the bag is easy, although finding bags that fit the shape and size well has been a little more difficult than expected. The 16-gallon capacity is plenty for our household, and so far we haven’t experienced any annoying quirks with the mechanism or design. Overall, it’s attractive, functional and very easy to use.. This opens automatically with the wave of a hand, allowing for more sanitary everyday operation. Push-button functionality allows you to keep the lid open for continuous use, if desired. The rectangular stainless-steel can with removable liner bin fits any brand of 13-gallon trash bags. Its convenient design allows it to be placed right against a wall or cabinet, and the fingerprint-resistant finish keeps it clean longer.

We are obsessed with this trash can! So easy, so functional, and really pretty too. The only thing, and almost worth a star, is that we don’t understand why the back isn’t fully flat. The battery of the lid juts out in back, and there is all this extra space behind where the bag and inner compartment rests. Even if the battery pack needs to jut out, they could still easily shave an inch off the depth of this given all the extra space, which would make this even more attractive and perfect. We love it though, just be prepared to know it doesn’t sit fully flush against its backside. If they “fixed” this design element, we’d 100 go buy that model immediately and give it six stars.. Nina. This was a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a trash/recycling bin, but when you think of it as a piece of furniture...well, it's slightly more palatable. We've been using 2 bins, one for trash, the other for recycling for years but it was such a mess constantly all around and the look was just...unappealing...right in the middle of the action. So I saw this and decided to pay the price. I'm glad I did. This is an attractive piece that functions so well to contain the necessary. I love the touch lid; I'm not a fan of the foot levers as I have never seen one that has any longevity in anyone else's kitchen and that requires your bin to be floor level. The raised bin here is awesome; the handles make it so easy to move to sweep (when I do sweep lol). It fits under a standard height kitchen counter perfectly. The design of the lid allows the bin to be flush again the base cabinet and still function perfectly. I like the smaller sized bins inside as it forces us to take the garbage and recycling out more frequently because the stink usually builds before the bin is full in our household of two, so this functions better for us. Even in a larger household, if you keep the kitchen bins dedicated for just the kitchen, it should function well if you don't mind a more frequent chore, but if your household uses the kitchen trash as the main source of trash and you are a larger household, then you don't want this dual bin, you want the singular one. P.S. Don't judge my real life messy kitchen!!!. Anonymous. Titusville, FL. Tue Jun 16 2026
